Sophie Koolen
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Sophie (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian with over a decade of experience supporting youth, adults, and families navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, and complex relationships with food, movement, and body image. She brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach rooted in attachment theory, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and evidence-based practices such as Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT), and Radically Open DBT.
Sophie has a particular interest in supporting teens and caregivers. As a parent of two young children herself, she understands the real-life challenges that can come with caregiving and offers a space that is grounded, supportive, and collaborative. Whether working with individuals or families, Sophie’s work is centered around building trust, safety, and a sense of connection—within ourselves and with those around us.
Sophie is passionate about helping people heal from past experiences, challenge perfectionism and anxiety, and develop healthier, more sustainable relationships with food, exercise, and their bodies. She is committed to supporting clients in reconnecting with themselves and fostering personal and interpersonal growth with care and optimism.
